Hein van den Wildenberg

Hein van den Wildenberg is the Lay Member for Financial Performance for NHS Norfolk & Waveney CCG. He was appointed in April 2020, and previously held a similar role for NHS South Norfolk CCG between February 2019 and March 2020.

After studying econometrics at Tilburg University in The Netherlands, Hein had an international senior Finance career with Shell during 1988-2016. He has worked and lived in the UK, the Netherlands, and the USA, with work introducing him to many other countries and cultures. He is a qualified management accountant.

Hein has had an interest in the health care sector for a longer time. He sees the lay membership as an excellent opportunity to contribute to a more resilient and integrated health care system.

Hein holds British and Dutch nationality. Late 2016 he, his (British) wife, and two children moved from The Hague, the Netherlands to Norwich. Before that time, Hein and his family have visited Norfolk for many years, with several family members living in the area. The whole family has been enjoying living in Norfolk for well over 3 years.

Hein enjoys time with the family, long walks with the dogs, playing tennis, and hitting a golf ball at his local club, where he is also finance director on a voluntary basis.
