Local health leaders urge people to keep up the fight against coronavirus by staying at home

The NHS in Norfolk and Waveney is encouraging local people to keep up the fight against coronavirus (Covid-19) by following the latest Government advice and staying at home.

A new Government campaign launched this week called Stay Home, Save Lives which reinforces the single most important action we can now all take, in fighting coronavirus – is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives.

The NHS is “rallying the troops” for the war on coronavirus, with volunteers being called up to help vulnerable people stay safe and well at home.

The nation is looking for up to 250,000 volunteers to help up to 1.5 million people who have been asked to shield themselves from coronavirus because of underlying health conditions.

A free service is being piloted in Norfolk libraries to help people navigate health information online.

Residents in Norfolk are able to receive help via the Healthy Libraries Connect service, the bespoke Digital Health Hub at the Millennium Library at The Forum in Norwich.
